A body soaring on thin air
A soul weighed down due to a held breath
Two eyes that promised me a wave
And lips drawn straight from ether
I stretched my arms to catch a ghost
I stretched my legs to walk on those pathways
I left my sanity evaporate
Within me nothing but a futile dream of the sun
And you, nothing but reflections
Of light on the prisms of water vapor
And you, all I wanted to embrace;
A nostalgic outcry of my grace
The ocean had never felt so calm.
Twas your touch that made it catch the sun.
The abyss hasn’t even kept its sound
And as the ether frames us, everything feels simply done.
I can’t recall the word you said
When I felt young and you were holding my hand
I can’t recall the strangeness
We found on leaves that screamed to the touch of the wind.
And you, nothing but reflections
Of light on the prisms of water vapor
And you, all I wanted to embrace;
A nostalgic outcry of my grace
