Memory-like Reality

I don’t want dare to fall
for one more word
’cause your face aint
the one at my door
And I could open
my window
but I’ld rather seek your traces
on my soul

So I find the light
on a face I called mine
though he aint standing
by my side
So I find the sun
in a memory that’s gone
and the more I delve
I don’t see how far I’ve come

Searching around
I see no sense
passing are grey faces
hidden behind pretence
Searching around
I sense no love
Is the thought of one connection
blocking us all?

So I find the light
on a face I called mine
though he aint standing
by my side
So I find the sun
in a memory that’s gone
and the more I delve
I don’t see how far I’ve come

You shall always be
my source, my dream
You shall always be
the one for me
My soul, my muse,
my hidden sin
I can no longer see
anyone else around me.

Once upon a time
I found the light
and I failed to keep it
by my side
Once upon a time
I lived a dream
and now I’m swimming in the abyss
hoping that I sink.
